The Canada Pooch Weighted Calming Vest uses a removable Weighted Calm™ insert to put gentle, even pressure across your dog's shoulders, a bit like a hug. It's inspired by weighted blankets for people, and the pressure gives anxious dogs a comforting sensation that can help them settle.
The insert is filled with non-toxic beads and weighs up to 3% of your dog's body weight. The vest is a breathable jersey, so it can be worn year-round, and it closes with Velcro around the chest and belly for a snug, adjustable fit.

Is It Right for Your Dog?

How to Use and Fit
- Put it on and secure the Velcro at the chest and belly. It should be snug around the torso, with the weight resting comfortably on the shoulders.
- In larger sizes, a snap keeps the weight in the right place.
- The weight on your dog's shoulders should never be more than 3% of their body weight.
- If your dog is between sizes, Canada Pooch recommends sizing down.
- For warmth, you can microwave the insert for up to 30 seconds. Check that it isn't too hot before putting the vest on your dog.
- It may take a few tries before you see the full calming effect. Supervise your dog while they wear it.
