About ACANA Singles Beef with Pumpkin
ACANA Singles Beef with Pumpkin is a grain-free, limited ingredient dry dog food with beef as its only meat. About 65% of the recipe comes from beef ingredients: raw beef, beef meal, raw beef liver, beef fat, kidney and tripe. The rest is sweet potato, chickpeas, lentils, pumpkin and a few fruits and botanicals. The only other animal ingredient is fish oil.
It's made for dogs with food sensitivities and for picky eaters who do better on a short, simple ingredient list. It's new to ACANA's Singles range in 2026, alongside Duck with Pear and Pork with Squash. It's made in Edmonton, Alberta, and has a freeze-dried coating for extra flavour.

Is ACANA Singles Beef with Pumpkin Right for Your Dog?
A good fit if:
- Your dog does better on a single animal protein, or you're trying to work out what your dog reacts to.
- Your dog can't have chicken, duck, lamb or pork, but does well on beef.
- You want a grain-free limited ingredient food.
- Your dog is a picky eater who likes red meat.
Maybe not the best choice if:
- Your dog is allergic or sensitive to beef. Try Singles Duck with Pear or Singles Pork with Squash.
- Your dog reacts to fish. The recipe includes a small amount of fish oil.
- You're feeding a large-breed puppy.
- Your dog is on a vet-prescribed elimination diet. Check with your vet before switching.
- Your vet has asked you to avoid grain-free or legume-rich diets. Look at ACANA's Healthy Grains recipes instead.
Ingredients
Raw beef (21%), beef meal (19%), raw beef liver (14%), sweet potato, whole chickpeas, beef fat (7%), whole lentils, fresh whole pumpkin (4%), fish oil (3%), lentil fibre, raw beef kidney (0.5%), raw beef tripe (0.5%), salt, dried kelp, fresh whole butternut squash, yeast (S. cerevisiae), whole cranberries, whole blueberries, dried chicory root, turmeric, althea root, rosehips, juniper berries.
Added vitamins and minerals: Choline, taurine, zinc proteinate, copper proteinate, vitamins A, D3, E and B-complex. Preserved naturally with tocopherols (vitamin E), citric acid and rosemary extract.
In plain terms: the first three ingredients are all beef, and together they make up more than half the recipe. Every animal ingredient except the fish oil comes from beef, so it's easy to tell if beef works for your dog. Sweet potato, chickpeas and lentils provide carbohydrates in place of grains. Pumpkin and chicory root add fibre and support digestion.

Nutritional adequacy: Formulated to meet nutrient levels for all life stages, except for the growth of large-size dogs (15 kg or more as adults).
Dry matter figures are our own estimate, calculated by removing the 12% moisture, so you can compare this food fairly with wet or raw foods.
Feeding and Switching Foods
How much to feed: Follow the feeding chart on the bag, then adjust to keep your dog at a healthy weight.
Switching foods: Mix the new food into your dog's current food over 7 to 10 days, adding a little more each day. A slower switch helps avoid an upset stomach, especially for dogs with sensitive digestion.
If you're testing for food sensitivities: Feed this food on its own, with treats that use the same protein, for several weeks. That makes it easier to see whether symptoms improve. Your vet can help you plan this.
Water and storage: Always keep fresh water available. Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place.
